Hi, I'm Grace

I wrote the things listed on this website! Normally, I wouldn’t reiterate them here because you seem like a smart person, but in the interest of professionalism, here is some stuff about me:

Grace Ellis is a New York Times-bestselling comic book writer. An Ohio native, she studied theater and journalism at Ohio State University before leaving school to pursue writing full time.

Grace's first venture into comics was creating and writing Lumberjanes, an all-ages story about monster-fighting girl scouts. Published by Boom Studios, the book has sold more than a million copies and has been translated into several languages. Additionally, Lumberjanes has won Eisner, Harvey, and GLAAD awards and is currently being developed into a live-action film by 20th Century Fox. The comic book series is ongoing.

Grace also created and is currently writing Moonstruck, an adventure-romance story about a werewolf barista. Published by Image Comics, the third volume of Moonstruck will be released in early 2020.

Recently announced, Grace has written an upcoming Lois Lane graphic novel for DC Comics, as well as a biography comic about writer Patricia Highsmith for Abrams Books. More information will be added here as it is announced.

Grace lives in Columbus, Ohio, where she can often be found attending a play or petting a cat.
